Anyone tried Big City Thunder Baffles??

Have straight unbaffled Screamin Eagle ll pipes but way too loud - they look great slash cut / balloni style.

    Chicken wire helps

Roll some up and stuff it up the exhaust pipe. I'm serious!

    1st time I have heard of Screaming Eagle's on a gn 250.
Chicken wire does work, you have to wind it up pretty tight though. Winding it on a thin piece of dowel is the easiest way to get it right.

Whats a dowel? I assume this is a kiwi term I'm not familar with? Or something I simply have no idea what it is.

Dowel is a round length of wood, you can get it from a hardware shop.

Ah so you get the wood, wind chicken wire super tight around it, and then slide the wood off and shove it down the pipe?

Yep - SE2's unbaffled make your bike loud, obnoxious and gutless BUT with the Thunder Baffles they are grouse ! They give it a bit of back pressure for performance and still sound loud and obnoxious ! Your neighbours will love it.
Of course this applies to a Big Twin or Twin Cams sorry mate. Don't think the GN250 will cut the mustard.

Of course I didn't want them for my gn. Have put them in the 1200 and yep they sound grouse - and the bikes running sweet. Will need earplugs for longer trips though!!
