    Thundercross valley

Has anyone been down recently, or know if it's open at the moment?

And is there a phone number.

    Thanks

Open. But when its wet mate, its fucken sloppy. I would wait till it dries up a bit.
I have ridden while it has been wet, and its fucken shit, alot of slippery clay and pushing, pulling and sliding down hills on your arse.

yeah, just getting a bit bored with woodhill. No disrespect to the boys a the sandpit though, they are doing a grand job, just been up there to much. I supose I'll have to see how much rain we get, and ring first (thanks for the number Scott).

Yeah I went out to the sand pit today. It ain't much of a challenge anymore with all the flat fast straights but I guess they are catering for the masses. I wish Greg Power would bring back his twilight rides.

Chop you know me. Yesterday I rode most of my favourite single track twice. And the MX track. Gets a bit boring after that as I've done it all hundreds of times. And yes, I did do all the tighter new tracks which are cool. Most guys that I lead around have not seen many of the trails that I take them on. We even make our own. Don't get me wrong I'm grateful the park is available but the single trails are not that demanding physically.
I just think its nice to get a bit of a work out on the whoops in between the trails and its great for the skills rather than full throttle down the flat straights which is real boring. There is even a short 2 minute circuit which we used to ride between single tracks which used to be fast and whooped. Now it is flat and fast and just not the same fun, my group agreed. I like to come away from my ride tired. But I realise that my views are probabaly not the norm and its catering for the masses.
Just my opinion which I'm entitled too and not trying to offend you or anyone else. Perhaps if I rode a big diesel trailbike I would like flat trails too.

Just wondering where else you like to ride as you seem to go for the same sort of tracks I enjoy riding.

Were you there on Sunday Rupcopp? as seen a gagsgas 200 just parked up on the entrance to the kids area. I was up there with the kids.

You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
And now a third thing a bloody big gun to shoot theives with!

Well its all pretty limited these days to organised rides really. There are not the options that there used to be. I ride the bike park when there is nothing else on just to get a ride in. I was going to do the Enduro in Woodhill this weekend but there are no day licences for National events so I might end up doing Ken Fells. Even though riding around in circles bores me these days its either that or the bike park again.
Waitemata Club do excellant twilight rides in Riverhead over summer which are a must do on a Friday evening, then you can ride Sunday again and get two rides in over the weekend.
