but i remmeber seening that pic and though i liked the look of it as well, i could get something for around that $220ish mark be good but can't justify much more than that

Yeah should be at 9000km by end of weekends as well not bad since i only brought it easter weekend dc:< 3 set of tires going on as we speak, the standard brigestone 014 were awsome tires just rear squared off from communting but front went on wifes bike. Had a set of super corsas, which went well, but i not had chance to get to race track to use them so, i pulling them off and got a good price for set of michelin powers(michelin are my fav tire) which will be awsome, installing the TRE mod made a HELL of alot of difference, it has to be one of the first mods you make

Your love it tho, wife even loves riding my bike and she has a vtr1000f

I prefer Dunflops to Michelin - I like the way Dunlops 'talk' to you a bit more....I find Michelins grip and grip and then whammo. On yer arse. I tend to find Dunlops talk to you a bit more before they let go.....that's my experience anyways.

Haven't tried Bridgestone for ages so guess we'll see - everyone seems to like the 014s

    TRE mod? Wazthat?

Never had a problem with michilin with that, thats how you use to get the 1100 around corners by sliding it.

TRE = timing retarding elimiter, pretty much suzuki make the bike run on 3 cylinders in the first 3 gears, wire a little resistor in and stops this so the bike believes its in 5 gear all time, so gives it fuel map for 5th so 4 cylinders on all, you notice the difference, cause often you want that power in 2-3 for coming out of corners,

Well I'm gonna have to do that. That sounds stink. Can't believe they did that. Got any details on where/how to do it? Did Glenn do it for you?

Oh yea? I didn't know that. Is that why it sounds like a WRX in the first 3 gears? LOL

Will it work for a Hoonda? So if I like, wire it in, will it make my bike run on 3 or 4 cylinders in all gears?
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Who the fuck fed you that line?!

They retard the timing in 1st and 2nd to make the power less abrupt. That's it.

We did a TEKA tune on Jimbos750, then he fired a TRE in and couldn't notice the difference.

How often do you use 100% throttle in 1st gear anyway?

Sounds like it may not be worth the hassle......I think you know Johan (sp?) Bruns? Did he do it? Certianly if he didn't theres no way I would need it!

Wheelies just fine without it. See the front cover of BRM for proof.

hahah its been fixed now dc:<

WT - that line i have got from www.gixxer.com its meant to be in the first 3 gears in the k4, i use full in 1 a few times alot in 2-3

That_guy they have done that to alot of there bikes now, i think its due to stupid americans not being able to ride bikes correctly. hahaha. Follow WT route, he build ya one, i got a mate to make one up for me, Johan works with WT, that bike WT did the write up was Johans bike.
I not much for wheelies, but it does stoppies great,

For what it costs probably worth doing...

I'm not that good at wheelies either actually....tend to have problems keeping it up when I change gears 'cause I'm a bit paranoid about going over... but if wheelies were my thing I'd get a 1000 (or keep the VTR - they are very easy to wheelie).

I put the tre on the 750Y & noticed virtually no difference also.
    ...apparently the 600 responds better...

Apparently, (and this makes some sense), the bigger the bike, the more the timing's retarded in the lower gears.

    Maybe.
