BTW No i don't blackmin but you can buy the set on dvd which i am thinking about

In the first line I was talking about doing a search for Bananaman episodes.

If you buy the DVD/s, how's about ripping the episodes for us? A good program for doing it is AutoGK. It's all automated, so once you've ripped the file, it's a simple case of choosing either the end size or resolution you want and letting it go. Heaps of how-to about for it as well.

So where the f*%# are the ZXR400 photos? 98 you say? You do know that the ZXR's got slower as they got newer?
Seriously, they get smaller carbs and shit from about 94 on.
You'll be wanted some ZX400 cams then...

to be honest i thought the L3 1993 was the last alteration of the ZXR400 and they made that some one over and over for the following years?

if that isnt true, then i would beleive you gav due to all the restrictions that they kept popping up in different countries. prolly find a whole load of plumpbing down there you can rip out or something to re-gain any lost hp. Still dont think theyd go that much slower? what size carbs?

    ZXR400 changes

    From some site:

    1989 H1 model

1990 H2 model with no changes.

1991 L1 model introduced with new styling and a more powerful engine.colours:green/blue/white or metallic blue.

1992 L2 model introduced with no changes except colours red added.

1993 L3 model with Black frame and colour changes of ebony/purple/red & green/white/blue.

    1994 L4 model with alloy coloured frame & colours ebony/violet or green/white/blue.

1995 L5 model with minor improvements to the engine & graphics on tailpiece changed from zxr400 to 400 only.colours of green/white/purple & ebony/purple/red availble.

1996 L6 model with no changes.

1997 L7 model with no changes.

1998 L8 model colour change to black added.

1999 L9 model with greatly improved engine with different crank & head.colours of lime green/white or ebony/metallic eventide.

I would check your cam chain/valve clearances first up and do a compression test. Being a race bike it will see lots of time on the limiter so you don't want to take any risks. You're about to find out how piss poor the supply of L parts are in this country - 90% of my parts I have to order from overseas (good with the NZ$ how it is).

You might find the rear shock lacking too. Theres a set of SP forks on Trademe that I'm ummming over but gonna give them a miss - probably be kicking myself in a year or so.

I'm on the lookout for an L model SP wrecked or parts. After lots of stuff from them (carbs, forks, CDI/loom, cams, gearbox). Looks like we might be scrapping over any performance L parts that show up!!!

The only reason for the shortage of parts, is for at least the last 10 years it has been the best choice for racing in F3, as for S/H SP parts, good luck! Your best bet is maybe contact Andy Bolwell at Colin Clyne m/cs in Oamaru, Andy has had the fastest ZXR for so long now, and it is pretty trick, are you going for the 450cc big bore? Andy works in a Kawasaki dealership and his bike has some special factory race bits. Really though, its now a big ask to be competitive with an SV650. The guy advertising the ZXR400SP on trade me? it aint a SP.
This ite here has some good info
