Keeway, anyone got one?

With all the rush to get 250's these days, and we should be real happy to see such a surge of interest in biking again, there's a lot of choice available with some strong opinions re: Chinese made bikes.

Triumph NZ are importing the Keeway brand, but so far I've heard little about them. They look good value and are the usual Yamaha Virago copy, though I like the style of both main models.

Has anyone got experience with these?

I went and had a look at a Keeway bike here in the deep south, and was not overly impressed.

I'm not sure if it was the welds with holes, or the rusted-to-buggery steering components (including nut at top of steering head) that put me off.

Oh I know, it was the fact this was a BRAND NEW bike, less than 2 months old that had been stored inside the showroom.

Would not touch one with the proverbial barge pole. (And gods know I'm not usually that fussy!)

Mmmm! Every Suzuki VL250 and Yamaha Virago I've seen, (apart from Crashe's rather used one...), has been well built and pretty much faultless.

There are bikes that are held in high regard with similar power to weight ratios.
