Country cops are a bit different. They've got more time to deal with this sort of stuff.

Sorry to hear this news Mrs O.

I do hope that the small leads in all this all contribute to u getting ur baby back in one piece. No-one likes to see anybody's bike stolen. I enjoyed reading all the happenings in the forum way back when u were embracing riding and then searching for a bike and finally finding the one that suits u.

All the best with getting it back.

Are you taking any prescription medication? [Rain Man]

Just so we know how guarded we have to be ... how was the bike secured? Disc lock? Steering lock? Chain?

I use steering lock and always assume that is good enough - maybe it isn't

As a former Eliminator owner I feel your pain. Here's some good vibes for the return of your wheels.

There's some shithouse pricks out there

    Shame Mrs O

But in all honesty, the bike is highly unlikely to be at the quoted address but in saying that the resident is liable to know where it is (most likely still within the city limits). And in reality if the bike is retrieved in one piece you really wouldn't want to have it again coz god knows what sort of treatment would have been dealt out to it.

    Easy place to find though

    OK
I'm impressed with the Police. They haven't found the bike but the Oxford cop had been advised and had already visited the address late this afternoon before I left the message. Unfortunately the guy has moved to Christchurch and they don't know where. Good to know that the police were so on the ball though when they're so stretched down here with other things.

Anyhow, thanks for all your support guys. It is appreciated and really means a lot to both of us.

Probably too late for the wee Eliminator now but please feel free to advise the Police or drop me a PM should you happen to see that vehicle as I'm sure he'll be looking for other bikes. Described as a rough looking blue and white Nissan van, rego LD7712.

    Cheers

Not secured but short of actually chaining it to an immoveable object, it doesn't sound like it would have made a difference. Perhaps if it was too heavy to be lifted it may have been OK. Guess I'm just going to have to get her a Harley!

It may turn up, those pricks will be gutted to find they don't actually have a Harley as they probably thought! May end up dumping it somewhere?

Sorry to hear this Mr and Mrs Oakie and to think I parked my bike there not so long ago!

If they "do" get caught, one kick per KB member would be nice retribution.

How many members does KB have now?

    Really sucks doesn't it. John.
