We're just doing an informal poll to see which brands are 'top of mind'. To settle a little debate that's going on here. Nothing sinister.

no 1 brand comes to mind first for me. for me, the most recogniseable symbol is the dunlop 'arrow thing with the D' then the michelin 'man' then the red/black bridgestone logo then the Continental 'C'. hope that helps

Well, you screwed it (or is that "skewed it"?) the moment you made it a poll instead of just asking the question.
But if I were you, I would've made sure that the one you were backing was either first, or highlighted in bold .

But then of course, the latter wouldn't have worked, as many KBers would've been onto that, and deliberately chosen summat else.

    Any money riding on it?

Perhaps you should have made it formal by starting with a definite statement, e.g., "Pirellis Suck!"
or, "People with Dunlops on their bikes are pansies!"

As it is, I get the feeling that some people just vote for whatever's the kewl choice of the moment.
    Not me.
I've got Avons on my bike, because I'm very well endowed, and have no insecurities about my masculinity. :spudwave:
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

I'm buying totaly different tyres for totaly different reasons than the others on this site - but your shop has plenty of KTMs,so input on adventure tyres should also be on your list. The Conti TKC80 has only ever received rave reviews,it's got to be the best dual purpose tyre out there,I'm very impressed with mine.Otherwise I buy on cost/performance/wear,and Bridgestone seem to keep me happy on those counts. For the extreme edge of DOT tyres my Kenda K760s have been a good tyre.Adventure tyres have to be the toughest market to meet - from mainly street to mainly dirt, big bikes and small bikes, nothing covers the whole ground,no one is satisfied - go to any adventure forum and the talk is tyres.

Oh,so you just want to know what brand we have in mind when we think ''motorcycle?''....for me Dunlop and Avon, they were just about the only choice we had in the early days.An Avon Speedmaster MKII was fitted to 90% of front wheels,on the rear was a Dunlop K70 or TT100,or maybe an Avon Roadrunner.

God, what have I done? I thought it was a simple idea to list them alphabetically. Please forgive me, I'll destroy the results when I've won the debate.
PS. My favourites are well down the list.

Different coloured tires. Sweet. Who's up for chiping in for a yellow set for ol' Bananaman.

Depends on what suits the bike, and what is affordable. Most of the time I seem to run Metzlers of various types. ME1 CompK on the RG, ME33 Comp K/ ME1 on the LC and MEZ4 on the BMW. Prior to this I had Dunlops on the BMW and the GSXR before that. The D207 was ok (put one on the front of the BMW, and a set on teh GSXR) but the D205 that came with the BMW were slippy in the wet. Lasted ok though.

If i have to spend big money on tyres i run Pilot Sports although i am about to try the new powers out, but i have been known to sway towards super corsas on the rear and even a Avon Av40 coz it was cheap as chips, never again though just didn't agree with me and was toast after 700km.

But Michelin for me, never done me any wrong.
