Yep, mine's under the seat and has been since I bought the bike. I think that might be because when I bought the bike the front tyre was a little marginal and the garage that did the wof might have been a bit embarrassed about wof-ing it...

It's one of them little sticky um, stickers (work with me here, it's Friday night and my brain is juggling tired and half-pissed), not the normal label

(bottom one in this pic: http://www.landtransport.govt.nz/roa...ts/gfx/wof.gif)

so I can't scrape it off and put it in a holder near the plate. I keep meaning to scan it or take a pic or summat and stick the copy in a holder. I think having it under my locked seat would be stretching the law, but it's not top of my priority list. Maybe I'll do it this weekend...

You might find that an ultra zealous cop who wants to ping you for something can do so for obstructing your licence plate, as in your pic.
The extreme vibes from the V engine has loosened the bolt and it has slipped down orrificer, i will tighten it up with the spanner in my tool kit up out of the way right now in front of you........

The ATNR crew and some NW'ern splitters will tell you how un-visible my plate is, bent and the black and reflecor white missing from lots of it. Never had a hassle with that either, I'm sure it saves you getting *555'ed. I want the personalised plate 1I11II or something similar, a dazzling combo of 1's and i's.

the one on my Vmax is stuck to the toolkit lid which is inside the seat where my gas cap is. (Hehe try figuring that one out) Never had a problem with it even parking wardens here have never raised the issue.

Maybe the thieves are thicker than me, but I'd just use the holder as well, if I'd already stolen it ...

How many would go to the effort of actually unbolting it instead of simply breaking the acrylic holder?
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!

I was gonna post what my plate looks like before but haven't had the bike here. I'm due a rego and might have to pick up another plate at the same time! Remember, this is close with a flash, in the day it's barely there and at night, what plate?

Yeah, and I gotta go get a rego tomorrow anyhow so I recon I'll get one then. I asked the lady at the local testing place what plate they were up to and she wouldn't tell me. I mean, I guess they don't want people just coming and getting new plates all the time but no-one else (customers) were there and it's all on the system and you pay for it so I don't see what she was sour about! Guess it's luck of the draw tomorrow eh!

Reminds me of Bruces old plate after he looped the TL .... or DSS's after he cleaned the black of his with brake cleaner.

I got mine in one of those plastic see through WOF holders that are just a bit bigger than the sticker itself. This is bolted with one bolt & nylock nut (so I don't lose it) onto the backside of my rego plate through one of the spare holes. I don't bother peeling the backing off as only one side of the sticker is visible anyway and I display the side that has the date and details on it. This shows the expiry date etc so as far as I'm concerned I am displaying enough to meet the requirements. No sticker to scrap off - just tip it out when replacing and remount the holder again. I have never had one stolen. It is tucked away from view generally speaking but 'on display' if you crouch down to look behind the plate. I have never been told at the testing station that it is not displayed correctly.

Are you taking any prescription medication? [Rain Man]
