Well I just got the dreaded call from the Insurance company and with the bike insured for $13000 and repair costs at $11000 they decided to not fix it To my trusty steed,
Now looking at the market, but still waiting to see how much $$$$
    I end up with.

Whilst here I thought I'd give you an update on myself, I'm now able to drive the cage around with minimal pain killers, although I still can't sit for too long.
Shit even being mobile in a cage feels good, I have another doctors appointment tomorrow to acertain if i can start work again, Living on ACC sucks ! Although I'm also gratefull for it, I guess boredom is getting to me.
See you guys on the road soon

Glad to hear you are coming right VB - slowly but surely. Everything else is secondary.

One day I'm going to own a bike that can be insured (I've never paid more than $2000 for a bike) then I might just write it off for the hell of it,I've still got lots of things to do in this life yet by the looks of things.

    Great news

Thats good to hear mate, I'm sure it'll be a speedy recovery from here. And I'm extra glad to hear you're already thinking about what to get next.

Oh, I can totally relate to enjoying the driving around! Granted, my bin was nowhere NEAR as bad as yours, but I still don't have a bike, and had a niceISH DRIVE up the Paekakariki hill the other day, making my car do what it was designed to do. (ALthough, glancing at the speedo was rather disappointing after riding my bike, not that you NEED to go fast to have fun, but you know what I mean).

PS: Painkillers OR drink, not both
    Dave.

It's good news that you're recovering...even if it is slowly. Bummer about the bike - so have you thought about what you want to get yet? At least now you can spend some of your time thinking & looking at what you might wanna get.

Mate all you gotta do is buy something that causes you to pay through your arse and insurance becomes a necessity

I know where u comming from I didn't think it would be written off either, but with a bent frame that costs $5ooo it just pushed the costs.
