90MPH and Tee boned by a wood pigeon

with yesterday being such a good day in my part of the world........it just had to be done (get out riding) so after fitting the new bling to the bike we were off just a quick trip of the Apitit loop hot choccy at kimbolton quick coke at the ritz in bunnythrope where I ran into some riffraff that know cowboyz and bonez and a fuel stop in ashurst running into cowboyz and family.....

now we off on the last leg ashurst to umutoi lots of fast and tight sections keeping a good pace and a few peg scrapping sounds going old we were in the Zone hitting the 15ks to home mark and up the hill into the right hander knowing full well the rubber is hot and sticky why not open the gurl up

within about 100 meters Im thinking OH SHIT !!! that wood pigeon is going to tee bone me and sure enough the fat bastard did hitting me in the lower right leg and collecting Phoebe's leg as well

so both of supporting slightly sore legs and more shock at the kamakazi attemp of that bird on going back he was no where too be seen so figured either tuff as old boots or the locals are bloody quick in gathering road kill

I was once doing about 120 when i hit one of those big black / white seaguls head on with my left shoulder and it hit so hard my arm went round and i almost broke my wrist on the pacframe. Thankfully after a bit of a wobble i stayed upright.
I know how you feel as it hurts like hell aye.

Well bugger me Barry, I reckon that bird came back for more! Wednesday, Sarah and I heading to your place, same buzz, came round one of those twisties at pace and there he is attempting a max performance take off to get out of our way. Good job he was keeping left so I could overtake him without hitting him. He was at head level though and didn't look too pleased.

Stop picking on the poor animals dogs. Its just not polite. I havent been struck by a bird cause they like me but been following Meanie as he and a bird played chicken and the bird lost. Feathers for africa. It actually looked pretty cool.
