GSXR1000 vs ZX1100:
Thats a pretty average 1/4 mile for the ZX1100, specs say a stock standard one should be able to pull off a 10.25 !

Thanks! Enjoyed that!
Awesome run to 180mph! Hard for the likes of myself to imagine that kind of acceleration! (Despite having owned a GSX-F600...)
You don't get to be an old dog without learning a few tricks.
Shorai Powersports batteries are very trick!

Motorcycle songlist:
Best blast soundtrack:Born to be wild (Steppenwolf)
Best sunny ride: Runnin' down a dream (Tom Petty)
Don't want to hear ...: Slip, slidin' away, Caught by the Fuzz or Bam Thwok!(Paul Simon/Supergrass/The Pixies)
Love that ad for the 12.
The gixxer pilot in that drag video has a dreadful launch. You can definitely see him hauling the ZZR in near the end of the run.
What?
I'm just, you know. I'm just sayin'.

Sure, but I'm carrying shopping on mine.
Your beauty vs. my beast? Nah, I'll get a toy sport bike or a busa one day but until then maybe will concede you a few secs somewhere. Think we'd both be shafted by DD's ZX1100 though. Gotta get me one of them ...
(actually GSX-Fs have a bad rep for speed. They are equally fast as your CBR-F, as on road tests have found. Be interesting to see how DD sees them as he traded up from one to his beast)

Awesome video's DiscoDan.. What year is your ZX1100 ? (I'm assuming they're the same as the ZZR1100? From your cam they look the same, and the wheelie zx1100 looks like a '92ish model).
They are without a doubt my favourite heavyweight bike, in the weekend I bit the bullet and bought a 1990 ZZR600.. unfortunately I have to wait a week or two until I pass my full to use it, and get insurance on it.
I just fricken love ZZR/ZX's, next to my 600 is a '92 ZZR1100 with corbin aftermarket seat, rest is stock.. I'm thinking of getting a seat like it for my 600, with it I think it will be the most comfortable bike I have ever sat on, the inbetween from gpx 250 and the zzr1100, the 600 has such a nice position. 1100 is just too much of a bike in every sense for a newbie hehe, hell, even the 600 showed me not to underestimate it! (Oh, not that I have ridden it, just to the dairy or anything, and of course I haven't taken a 5 minute detour!)

GSX600F was a nice bike, but needed a fatter rear to make it more stable at high speeds. Great for commuting though. Would do 200k+ no probs... when it was running properly!
The ZX11 is truly stunning to ride. So easy to tip her right over in the corners and straight lines.... you have to have a post it note stuck to the inside of your visor reminding you to breath. Truly breathtaking acceleration. I half expect the bike to have a "landing gear" button that you press to retract the front wheel like a plane... that front wheel comes up with a twist of the wrist all the way up to some nutty speeds....
That bike has seen 280kmph (inidcated) and when im moving the 233kg (dry) around the garage it certainly deserves respect!
