    CHiP off the old block

Anyone here remember the TV show CHiPs?

Well now is your chance to relive those childhood fantasies. I stumbled across the following auction lot at Turners. The bike is being sold on November 3.

Would be a good bike to buy - rip all that police shit off and create a mad max replica...... That'd increase it's value and desirability eh?

over here the show was called "chups"
A universal dream of greatness is that
We push ourselves to the limit
Yet still be brilliant when the chips are down.

I'm rather intrigued by the 1970's attitude to bike safety gear in that intro sequence.

I bet those short-sleeved cotton police shirts don't offer much protection in a crash!

Oh I loved CHiPs as a young boy !!!!

The theme takes me back to a life of simpler times, like before computers and when we used to actually go out outside and play games, unlike the kids of today !!!

    Sheez I feel old now.......

Didnt one of them lunch themselves pretty bad, end up in the hostable?.. I believe they wrote it into the show also. I dont care enough to wiki or google it... someone else might.

They used to do plenty of riding on a trailer behind the camera truck I believe. Didn't stop Ponch being a hit with the ladies though!

What a fantastic show. Friday nights at 7pm if I remember correctly.
