Well, I've pulled out just one spark plug...

This might be the problem - I haven't been able to find the link on here that shows various conditions of sparks so I'm not sure if this is a "failure and replace", or "clean them"

Attached is photo - comments and info thanks

If what bmz2 said has hit anywhere near close to the mark, isn't this a bit of a wild goosechase? If the mixture is wrong then wouldn't that mean the sparkplugs could be fine bit the fuel mixture just isn't igniting, or at least the whole thing is running at a bad timing that isn't sustainable?
In that case, it sounds like you'd need an expert opinion because i'd guess that no amount of checking over peripherals like coolant and battery is going to address the worst issue.

Close... we really want a woman AND a motorbike.

I can just take it to Casbolts or some place that can do rejets. That should adjust it. The bike I was using in the weekend has new pipes and they are way more open then the originals, and it didn't need rejetting at all.

But looking at this one spark so far, it looks pretty bung to me. But then I know nothing about sparks so I'm waiting for an opinion and will also bring it into work as my boss knows a bit about this stuff and he'd know if I should replace the sparks.

    FIXED!!!!

My boss from work, who lives just down the road, came over and had a look. He has helped me in the past doing work on my car.

After testing the firing, petrol feed and sparks, he discovered that the problem was lose wiring. Couple minutes of jiggling cables and problem fixed.

Took it for a ride... PHRRAAAAK! Sounds musical to my ears.

Got to the road just down from my house on the way back from my ride and Macheveli happened to see me roar by and didn't recognize me at first but realized it was me and came over to my pad see the now working bike.

Where would we be without our mentors, our heroes, and our friends? We would be without hope.

So tomorrow I can put my other bike back together and instead of mucking around "fixing" things I can get onto cleaning up the new bike.

Damn, took the bike to the local down the road. Parked it by the entrance on the sidewalk.. but not to far in front so that it was in full view.

Anyway, was showing a guy from work who was there the new bike.. and the fucker wouldnt start. Cunt! Ended up taking seat off and fiddling, but not before girls came up to me while I was sitting on it trying to get it going. "COOL! Is that yours!? Does it go BROOOOM or VVVVVVVVV. I like bikes that go BROOOM!!"

Had to push the bike home.. embarrassing! Got the bike in the garage.. think I've find the culprit . Out comes the soldering iron in the morning and fingers crossed!

The jiggling wasnt the fix, the jiggling was the find. The fix then was to tighten one of the connection clamps.

The problem this time is I reckon one of the wires stripped and broke.

Nope, stuck at home wishing I had a working bike for the ladies to continue to admire.

Taking it in to the shop - cant start the custom work if the bike doesn't work full stop. Bloody dodgey wiring I says!

Phoned the shop today - just as well as the bike was ready but they hadn't contacted me.

They said they checked the wiring, and the only thing they did was clean the sparks and it went fine. Thats odd since I had all the sparks out before I took it over and they all sparked fine and it didn't want to ignite the engine until I fiddled with the electrical cabels again.

But time will tell, I'll probably get stranded half way to Nelson to discover they were wrong!

I have to say, the bike is going great now and gets a bit of attention.

Mach and Me were at a pub and people poked around looking at our bikes and Mach had to leave but Jwalker showed up and when we both left people were cheering as we revved and went off

BUT.. FUCK I HATE ALUMINUM RIMS. Like, what a toss to polish up! I've got some Autosol (Thanks Ghost Bullet, you were right it works great!) for my chrome and metal bits and it does a good job but fark me its hard going to clean them. I've managed 2/3 of one side of the front wheel and said screw it.

    Aluminum... can it be chromed?
