Bike hire

Hi Guys

A UK biker mate of mine is planning a trip around the N Island in Feb next year (I know the S Island is a 'must do' but his time is limited) and he has asked about bike hire here.

Do any of you have any experience of bike hire or know anyone who has hired here in Auckland, with any recommendations or shops to avoid? I think he’s thinking of a VFR or similar.

Yeah...there's guzzigander but I think they are based in Wellington.

There is another company in Auckland, Daveeasey, I've seen it advertised in a bike mag recently, but I cant find the mag or who they are. I'll keep looking.
