That thing in your avatar though is a VT1300

The VTX has different lines to it. Doesn't have as long a rear fender, rear disc brake.

I'm just going by the current Honda catalog the local dealer gave me. Only three in there is VT750 Shadow, VT1300, and VTX1800

    Edit--

Although looking at the Honda website, they have them all labeled as VTX

Suzuki are having their Summerfest at the moment, really good deals on some cruisers. Latest Bike Rider mag shows C50 at $10,999 plus ORC, about $2000 off normal price. Check out local Suzuki dealers.

just had a look (thanks for the info) - the M50 has a Summer Feast price exactly = to the RRP (bastards must have known that was the one I like the look of).

Dont forget trademe, there are a bunch of M50's on there and it wouldnt surprise me if several of them are in Auckland.

If I recall, there is a rather nice looking red one!

Wgtn M/Cs have 883s for about $11K and the Nightster (drool) is $16.5K I believe - thanks for the weak US $. Should push prices down across the board.

Not so quick on that... a lot of importers have FX deals in place. So they are locked in on exchange rates for imports to protect profitability. Others will be keen to protect margin slip with the squeeze on in the economy and unrelenting inflation at the mo.

I checked out the Kawasaki VN range and was very impressed, but settled on the Boulevard C50T because of the Fuel Injection/ Shaft Drive/ Price and Sheer Comfort and Good looks.

I have been very pleased with my choice and after 13000k still enjoy getting out on the road every weekend and it's never missed a beat... ever.

My friend has a Honda Shadow American Classic Edition, also a very nice bike.

Test ride them all, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda and Suzuki you'll know which one suits you best.

    Cheers

True - hence why CB now has the Sportster 'S'.

If I replaced all the bolts on the pegs of my 'glide with 8mm ones would it count as a 'metric cruiser'??

Hmm, by the same token the C50, M50, M109 would all be Imperial Cruisers (cubic inch designations), which would be cool as Imperial Cruiser sounds like something from Star Wars.
