Chain & sprocket?

Got a reasonable price for a chain and rear sprocket from total motocross, but they don't have a front sprocket for my bike at the mo.

Do I need to change the front as well, looks ok to me.

Should I go for a metal, or alloy rear sprocket?

And don't know if you remember Cheese, and Booom, but how urgently do you think I need to replace these items as you saw them??

They were pretty stuffed, go for Steel and get an x ring chain.

Should change all 3 together front sprocket is the cheapest, steel lasts allot longer if you're not to worried about the weight.

Front sprocket does most of the work, and goes round 3 times compared to the rear sprocket. if you change the front before the wear sets in, say 2 front to one rear (much like tyres), you may be amazed at how much longer the chain will last, provided it is well cleaned & lubed.
I have replaced the front sprocket, and put a new xring chain on my ZX, but still run the original rear sprocket, primo at 27,000 K's, replaced chain due to a rusted pin, otherwise length and side play still within tolerance.
