I do wonder though if passing a line of cars 4-5 in a row, cop see's you on the incoming traffic, has he really got a shit show in turning around and catching up with you........ would you run?

On more than one occasion I have been in that situation, travelling with a group of bikes and haven't needed to run. The sensible chaps never even bothered to turn around. Probably at least partly due to the safety of numbers thing.

You're fine even alone provided there's more cars in front of you to pass so you can a few between you and They're less likely to bother if there's too many cars.

I remember once on a kb ride, i was over taking about 15 bikes at 150 (heaps of room) when a 600 over took me while i was over taking the others. he had less than 1m of road lol.

I once got caught[in a cage,with the family-oops]overtaking a stream of many vehicles while in a passing lane. I was doing 137kms plus. The ossifer did a high speed "U" turn and chased me for 10plus kms. [I didnt know]. When he pulled me over he quite rightly went nuts-I felt the death penalty coming on. He had me locked in too! After a considerable rant, to which I agreed was all my fault[At that stage I would have said that the Holocaust was my fault] he eased it up, gave me a warning!!!!! and sent me on my way[at 98kms an hour]. Lucky me, but I wonder if I would have been so lucky if I had been on a bike-as if...
