You should be extremely proud of that Doco! An epic work that was (thankfully) filmed extensively by Janeen at the time.

As this pissed me off here I go,

1 - I was the editor and worked on the project for 8 months.
2 - I met Janeen Newcombe and her family, and attended screenings with her and also unfortunately her funeral.

I am proud of what I have done and wanted people to see it, if this upsets you sorry.
I wasn't going to announce my involvement in the project as I didn't feel it was neccessary. I have posted a lot of times when the film played at Rialto etc but never mentioned I was the Editor.
It just amazes me, I am upset and angry and I am afraid I have had enough of this Kiwibiker site,
    Cheers and seeya

Hold on the horses one minute here... I haven't read the dis comment and don't intend to, but please vinducati, lets get this in perspective. You work in the film industry so you have to get a harder skin. One bad comment????? A little melodramatic? re-read and see all the positive comments. My partner came in half way through and she had swelling in her eyes at the end, someone stole my voice near the end and I had to have a glass of water, the impact of his death on the owner of the bikes and on Janeen was wonderfully put, we felt their loss. It was a good doco and well worth the effort. i'm not going to rub your back and say its alright, but get over it... Too many positive comments to let one get to you.

I was about to suggest doing a search for other thread's on this, but it appears as if we have been "merged".

Really enjoyed it. Thanks for pointing it out.

Theres talk on here about a DVD with extras vs one without. How do you tell them apart? I dont want to end up with a non extra one if a better one exists

I would have thought so but I cant see it on any of the online pics Ive found. Every cover seems the same unless theres a subtle difference Im missing.

The duke site is amongst the most expensive sources so id rather not go there if I can find the same thing cheaper elsewhere.

Techbooks in Newmarket, Auckland have the DVD.

Techbooks have the DVD with the extra features.
Some stories from Phil Read, Chas and so on...
plus Rod Tingate the mechanic going over tech aspects of the bike.
    Cheers
