153kmh in 100kmh zone

I just got busted at this speed, the cop instantly suspended my licence for 28 days.I also have to go to court, the charge is just the speeding, no careless or dangerous charge on top.
Any ideas what i can expect from the judge, fine and extra loss of licence?.Over 35 years of age,I have no history of court or any big speeding fines in the past.I note the max instant fine is $630 for 50kmh over, but i was wondering if i can expect more or less (considering i have lost licence for 28 days on roadside), anyone been through similar. zelto beating the feet now, cheers!!

Expect to have the licence taken off your for 3 - 6 months, over 50k i am sure is lost of licence and fine.

Should have known better aye?.... take whatever comes and know that next time 139 is the cut off point....

My suggestion, turn up at court and grovel to the JP's, repenting and stating how much you have learnt your lesson.

Huge booboo .. don't think that groveling to the judge will help .. but do it anyways ... 153 ... hope it was worth it

It won't do a damn in difference but it's a neat trick.

Seriously though. Just say it straight. Did you do a dumb thing? yup. Will you do it again in a hurry? Nope... Do you regret it...? Yup.

Also add on $130 court costs on top of the heavy fine you are about to receive.

I guess you will get mighty fit with all the walking you are about to do over the next few months.

Loss of license also means no car driving as well.

Depending on how long you loose it for, ONLY after 28 days can you apply for a work license...
Chat to speedie about this, as he knows the ins and outs on this one.
To get it costs heaps of money.

Mate you are one of the VERY few that's stood up and said nothing along the lines of "Bloody cops" or similar. Take a grain of salt where it's needed.
