    Dr650 front brake lever

Hi all, does anyone know where I can get a short front brake lever without chopping, cutting or snapping the orginal. Tried the local shops in Tauranga and no joy yet!

When you say "short" do you mean one you can reach easier? Ask around at the shops and you may be able to buy one with an adjustable reach scew on it because if you are a short arse like me there is nothing worse than trying to race along on a dirt bike trying to use finger tip control on the front brake when the damn reach is too long so you tend to pull it in a bit hard.

I just bought the Bark Buster brand handgard for long leaver bikes and so no problem other than they cost a little more than most other brands.
Fit's the full length leaver with room to spare.

Thats right, bark busters are too small, I have thought about getting the drz master cylinder as these have more choice on levers

Reporting cruelty and abuse of DR's

Nordie you can be so cruel!!!
If you intend to run in any MNZ sanctioned events don't cut your balls off(wow that sounds bad doesn't it!) as they are required for safety. I expect Nordies answer would be safe as the handles are behind b-busters though. As a matter of interest if short levers were available I would use one too, as most people I see riding only use two fingers for braking anyway and one designed for two fingers would be easier to use, and harder to break.
I only abuse my DR on track - and if it keeps raining here like it is right now I will wimp out of motards today.

I'm with Nordie, cut the lever down, a replacement is only $20 if you need to go back to full size anyway....

or buy that replacement and do it to that one if you want to keep your original safe and sound.
You could always mould a new ball on the shortened lever with that kneed-it stuff.
