    A. It's MV Agusta, you knob.

    B. Why the fuck would anyone buy a Brutale and then worry about fuel economy?

Yeah Matt did rechip his, with a bit of help from a mate in Hamburg, but really, all you need is to get to the next gas station. It's not exactly a 'tourer' so just find yourself plenty of twisties with gas every 200 or so ey and we do an MV tour in Europe every year, next one July 08, welcome to join us.

Because (legend has it) it's really bad.

If you look at the numbers on a second hand MV they're not actually that bad. They do the majority of their depreciation in the first year and right now there's quite a few Brutale 750's hovering around 15-20k ish. A lot of cash down, sure, but if it's not going to depreciate any faster than a Jappa then there's an argument for it not actually costing that much more, in practice.

Except there's the fuel. Because you don't just have to wear two/three years depreciation, you have to pay for 20,000k of fuel as well. And while I don't have the figures to hand I believe that a re-chip of a Brutale can get you an additional 25% fuel efficiency with no loss of power at all.

Do a search on www.mvagusta.net forum ..... there's plenty of info there. In reality, gas economy isn't much different to a spirited v-twin IMHO.

Sounds like a post designed to gloat.
