Oh man, that sux. We try and have a little consideration and look what happens? Might I suggest that we have tougher penalties for bike thieves like say a public hanging by the toes and then pelted with spark plugs.

Exert your talents, and distinguish yourself, and don't think of retiring from the world, until the world will be sorry that you retire. -Samuel Johnson
know just how you feel buddy
i double check my bike is locked and chained up now, every night.
still looking for the scum that tried to steal the ZZR....
bloody fuckwitts need to go get a job and work for their own toy not steal others hard earned pleasures
I've learnt to hide the pain inside, open the throttle and ride away.
So that's just vandalism if they couldn't steal it anyway.
Strange; most idiots simply move on - unless they are drunk.
Did you have your suspiscions as to who was wrecking your bike? Were they really trying to steal it?
Anyway, at least you've got it safely in your garage now.
Motorcycle songlist:
Best blast soundtrack:Born to be wild (Steppenwolf)
Best sunny ride: Runnin' down a dream (Tom Petty)
Don't want to hear ...: Slip, slidin' away, Caught by the Fuzz or Bam Thwok!(Paul Simon/Supergrass/The Pixies)
If they'd just wanted to deface it, why not mess up the the pristine paint, or stick a hole in the tank? Why gouge at the ignition barrel?
If they were actual bike thieves, not just feral scrotes, they could have stolen it. Two or three big guys could have lifted into the back of a van in 60 seconds, then worked over the D locks and steel rope at their leisure. But these were not professional bike thieves, these were just your common or garden lazy feckless bastards out to see what they could pinch or otherwise destroy.
I came round to thinking that a lot of theft is this way out. They're not stealing to put food on tables, there's no higher ethic here, no justification. This is not Robin Hood. Theft is just another way to screw the man, screw the system, screw working hard enough to get a decent job. So yes, it is very much to do with vandalism, and very little to do with survival.
"Look at me, ma, I'm a sociopath!"
Well, I'm in a whole different country now, although I'm under no illusions as to how long my bike would last if it was parked out in the street in some of the less choice areas around here.
bloody low lifes piss me off when shit heads try and steal what you work hard for
