    Bike Recommendations anyone?

    Hi there,

I just got my full licence today & I'm looking at getting onto a bigger bike.

I ride a TZR250 at the moment, a real minter. I've thought about going for a 400 but decided if it's going to be my main mode of transport, I may as well go straight to a 600.
I like the YZF R6, the GSXR6, and have looked at a CBR600.

I'd love to hear feedback from anyone who rides any of these bikes & feel free to recommend another bike.

    Cheers everyone

You have to live with it so try them all and buy the one that suits best.

We can't tell you what to buy, we're all idiots.

you should get a bike. That's the best thing

Go for the blue one... I like blue

Seriously, take em for a test ride, and see which one you like the most, which is the comfortable one for you and your style, which one meets your needs. Which one give you the buzz and which one makes you

At the end of the day its going to be your bike, your love affair. And no one is going to hassle your for choosing which ever you choose, as long as if it is for the right reasons and not just posing...

But still buy the blue one... I like blue..

Yep take them all out, at the end of the day it's your personal taste and feel of a bike that will make your mind up.

As most tests and reviews show us that the R6 is a overall good bike but its more for the track rather than everyday use as it has pretty much no low rev power. Gsxr600 is a good combination between a street and a track bike, as it has plenty of low rev power and its also the most performance one, the cbr600 is very good for the street and every daydriving, but not so good for the once in a while track days.

Personally i would go for the gsxr

Hope that helps, i will try find some reviews and post the links.

How far do you ride and is there parking? A nice sporty 600 is a great weekend thrasher (or racer) but they are a bit nice for the dreary task of commuting. My Gixer is comfy enough and I ride it to work on nice days or when I cant get a lift but as everyday transport its a waste. Keep the TZR for the commute or sell it and get something you dont care about to commute with. Hey, it wont even have to be rego'ed if your smart about it and take the plate and wof off your nice 600 and stick it on the back. Its not as if most cops can be bothered to wipe off the grease that you put on the details-they just see a bike

They will all be fine bikes for you.... if you like riding in a position akin to humping a coffee table.

oi, when i first passed my test 13 years ago, (had been riding for 11 years previous as a kid) my first "big" bike after the TZR125 (did 100 MILES per hour, not like the 250s here that do the same speed and are double the engine size???) was a honda shadow 750 (1980ish model from the states?).

farkin ell that bike took me all round spain and a lot of the rest of europe! custom cruiser style yes it was, but that bike taught me a helluva lot.

also when you get your first "big" bike you will want to do lots of miles (ks) on it, visiting friends and family etc that you havent seen for a while. you think you gunna want to do that on a sports bike?

now i got a sports and a sports tourer (no, it aint a feckin BMW or goldwing lol bandit 1250 it is), guess which is up for sale.
i wouldnt want to be caught dead in the same grave as me.
