    What size cover for XB12R?

    Hi all,

My new bike should be delivered on Friday, need to buy a cover and was thinking either the Rjays waterproof ones or the canvas ones from Trade Me - http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=122474148

Wondering if anyone has used either of these with a sports bike or a Buell XB12R in particular? Which would you recommend?

What size Rjays do you think would be best for the Buell.

    Cheers

i would be very concerned about the heat from the pipes... you would ONLY use it when it was cold...
the header pipes can get HOT....

and i would hope that it wouldn't scarch anything..

Yes, will have to be careful but it's going to be stored outside so have to have a cover

I own one of those lined R-jays ones and it is great (it has tightening elastic hooks and loops and also strap and clip that stops the cover blowing off).

I ride a Hornet 250 which is the same as a Hornet 600 and have the large size (large is the smallest size). Having seen a couple of Buells, I would say that you'd want the same size as mine.

P.S. the instructions mention to not put it on a hot bike

Any chance you can rig a lean to instead..maybe even using a bike cover as a roof,wind/constant friction take there toll.

great choice of bike, use a garage myself at present so no idea really but if your carefull covering it when hot the cover may be able to be kept away from the pipe.
bikez.com have all the specs which will give you dimensions for the XB12R.
they are not massive as you probably know, typical 600 sport cover should be ok...??
