    Yep

I think, however rowdy we were (and so what, we hired out the whole place pretty much right?), we were tidy and well behaved. I can't say for everyone else since I left early, but I assume everyone took away their empties from the pool area.

I must confess to one thing though, one of the chocolate peanuts I had fell in the pool, but that would have melted and left just a peanut

T'was a decent event all in all... Strange as it may seem, I was just starting to enjoy myself again when we were pulling into tokaanu. Maybe it was the water in my boots and pants finally heating up, or my core temp reducing to that of the rain Coming back was better weather wise, leaving me wishing that we had swapped the ride routes around. Murphy's law I guess...
If I wasnt so damn tired, I might have got around to meeting more of you there. If you are in doubt as to who I was, think whiter than White Trash and you should have me figured out.
Looking foward to the next KB rally, maybe later on in summer this time?

    Life goes on

finally found sometime to read all about the weekend, great that we all had a good time, two breakdowns and a few minor repairs , no bins, thats great,

I have sobered up a bit now and will have to admit to being a part time banana man.. Rum and Bananas don,t mix.(next time No Bananas for me !!

I had the chicken and am sure thats why I was crook the next day, could not have been the rum !!

Thanks to Bret and Paula and the all the other helpers, Big up to Toads for sticking with it on Saturday.. You did well

Good to meet all you guys, glad everyone had a good time.

After we left you guys on Sunday we stopped for a bit of a feed and a cup of tea at Naragwhia, we just finished that when Johno called, he had a broken a clutch cable, so we got to use the trailer after all..

Can't wait for the next one.

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
    my own fault really.

believe me the less said about the affects of the chicken the better but the awesome weather and great ride back made it all so worth it, it all seemed to get better as the day wore on although I'm still feeling a bit under the weather, I will never choose chicken as an option again

To Quasi & Paula thank you so much!

What an awesome weekend and great organisation. To FF and KK and Nodman and partners. If you werent there we would have needed you. Thank the biker gods that we didnt. To the partners who braved coming a along - GOOD FOR YOU. Now you met the KBers maybe you will come along much more for rides and slow these buggers down - just a km or 2...ummmm

To those of you faster fellas...thank you for making the rally the success it was without the pressure of having to go fast.

Oh and shorted sheets not a problem for us short arses WT think we saved you from a dowsing too.

Quasi: The old man and i both got in there and cleaned the pool area out at around 7:30am. All bottles etc, sorry about the bottle cap and ciggy butt, next time i will try harder.

and whats the story about this chicken? sounds more like a bloody excuse for too much drinking the night before to me! as mine tasted the best ever and i admit to the only minor headache in the morning being due to steingrenades.

FF hope the real reason you werent on sooner did not involve punishment from your actions on saturday night, you deserved it anyway! After your antics on that night dude i understand what your trying to say with the whole banana thing, the little-boy-chasing part i cant help you with but bring your bike around sunday and ill have the yellow paint ready.

Right i had better post about the awsome weekend that kinda ended in an anticlimax for me.
Got up waaaaaaaaaay to early on saturday and squeezed into my new (old) leathers. Set out in the cold. Started pisssind down as we left hamilton but for some odd reason i didn't even notice the rain . Had incredible amounts of fun trying sliding the bike around a bit but then disaster struck. Trying to change my visor i snapped one of the bolts. Luckily it didn't really need it at the time so after the change i set out after the other who had left about 5-10 mins before. It was kinda fun slowly catching some of the tail enders and i found myself pushing pretty hard for the wet. Filled up last at the next stop and found myself playing catch up again.

Managed to get to the place in one piece and man those hotpools were great had a good meal a couple of drinks and met some great people.

Woke up on sunday to a beautifull day and thinkin hmmmm this is going to be great. I started out setting a pretty good pace for myself (not nearly as fast as some of you others aye ) but about lunch time things all went pear shaped. Throttling up on one of the straights i had a little incident that made me think i was going to go home in an ambulance. For no reason at all i experienced a full lock tank slapper. because i was still going in a straight line while the bars were swinging from one extreme to the other the front wheel started locking up. (all this happining at about 180km/h). I somehow managed to hold it together and other than some sore wrists and a minor hear attack i was ok. The bike on the otherhand was not. The front end started feeling a bit funny and about 50km out of hamilton the bearing started making a grinding noise. But wait there is more. I decided to try and make it back to auckers and get it all sorted on monday. Filled up at narawahia set off with a group of riders but 200m past the gas station changing into second the clutch snapped. Well that was it!!! i called FF and put the bike on a traier and went home!!!!!.

Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend despite the minor difficulties especially to quasi for organising and mr and mrs FF for taking my sorry ass home.
Lump lingered last in line for brains,
And the ones she got were sort of rotten and insane...

    just a small question....

....did people see the pool going from _clear_ to murky, or was that just me?
I'm hoping that was just beer and not people ignoring WT's public announcements...
