    Carbon Exhaust for GSXR's.

Myself and my friend have been trying our hand at making a carbon fibre exhaust for the K6,K7,K8? gsxr 600's and 750's Mircon style.
Or any thing else that they might fit.
Could modify yourself to fit any bike.
Will look like this but in carbon fiber
    http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/member.php?u=6453
Not finished yet but getting their.
They will be slip on just the same as the mircons
And just wanting to now if any one was interested in buying one if we made a batch of ten or more to help cover costs, and soffen the dent on buying our new dirt bikes..
Cost will be about 900 bucks not sure what a normal Mricon cost as, i got mine damaged.
My friend has already made a exhaust for his old 02 R6 out of the carbon fibre, oval style and tested it under hot race conditions at the track, and it handled the heat.

pm me if you are super keen.
If we don't get the interest then we won't bother making them.

Ill get back to you on this one, im trying to get the word out, and "worm"(name on KB) is the carbon wiss. We already have a special high temp resin for the job.
The hard part will be finding a high temp clear (gloss) to finish the carbon in to handle the heat.

I think $900 is a bit pricy for a home job Cam, if you can get down to round the $600 mark, I think you will be far more succesfull

Mmmm, that's true... but if you mold them correctly, they'll look sweet straight out of the mold, and you'll get that sexy 'dry look' carbon like they have on F1 cars

/edit: I've got some spare parts I've made that haven't been dressed, I might hit one with some spray can 1200 degree clear... might do the job.

So far this is just an estmate, most likely drop if we make a large batch of them.
I no people won't have what they can't touch, so once we have a few made, we will take them to track days like the "suzuki track days" then people can try before they buy.

Have talked to a couple of painters and VHT clears are mainly matt, which is a bummer, as a high gloss peice of finish carbon looks the bee's knees.IMO

industrial carbon tends to look the shiz on bikes, race fit styles. Could be keen, but not at $900.

loose bro! $900 is what they charge in bike shops for a scorpion can with carbon and titanium... and i can get it cheaper from the USA via ebay. There is a guy over there doing a similar 'slipon' for the 06+ R6 and he's only charging $150 or so USD.
