I'm still getting used to it as I said, so I haven't pushed it too hard yet, but it's slowly bringing out the hooligan in me .

If you're really interested in opinions from owners check out http://www.superduke.net/

From memory there is a well respected KTM dealer in Palmy, I'm sure they'll have a demo on.
    Cheers,will do.

    Thumbs up

Festus & his Bro have met me out @ Whangamona one day Well I cannot comment on TLS vs SD but before the SD I had a RSV Mille R 2000 model (45,000k's when I traded it on said SD) before that a FalcoSl1000 (24000k's), before that a MG 1100Sport ie. (43000k's) all fm new, before that a Ducati 900 S2 (love my Vtwins).Iv'e just covered 37500k's on the KTM (05 model) & she just keeps getting better. I've covered 8000k's in the SI this year (2 seperate trips) & is excellent for long trips, only probelm being an 05 is the f'n 15ltr tank which sucks literaly (sp) but all fixed on the 07 with the 18ltr tank, so not an issue.PM if you like & i'll try & ansewr any questions you may have !

Have owned and LOVED 4x '97 TLS's and Unit has had a '99 TLS.
To date have owned an '05 SD and have just bought a SD-R.
I've given up my "bling" '07 ZX10R with huge horsepower and Ohlins to have a SD.
Why? Because it makes me giggle like a school girl!!
There's only one comparison to be made with a TL...they are both 'Twins, that's it.
The SD's are one of the most divine tuning machines ever. They have a certain presence about them and the aural pornography from their rear end is simply orgasmic.
Strongly recommend an '07 model due to its better fuel range but other than that they are pretty much the same.

    Any questions just ask.

    BTW...you need one

Practically speaking i'd go for a Kwaka ZX-14, was in AFC motorcycles in Palmy Nth today pervin' at thier black one I have never riden a bike with such a smooth motor, plenty of zip when ya want it, handle for a big machine, comfy and really enjoyable ride. The Duke tugs at your heart strings and inner hooligan though.

Ya realise I have one eh?
    Practically...yes,the ZX14
    Pornographically/wank factor/carvability™/presence/aural pleasure-wise...the SD-R!

In saying that the ZX14 is just off 180RWHP and carves like a demon possessed.
However the KTM is that demon's Boss!
