Wouldn't worry too much about it all, there is always someone to jump all over ya' given a chance - hell even I do it sometimes
The search function is really easy but not always reliable I have found. Just copy of the text into the search field and cut out every word that is three letters or less.

Sometimes there are heaps of returns ... like for example 'waving' threads and others there are one or two or none.

A husband is someone who, after taking the trash out, gives the impression that he just cleaned the whole house.
Well Gismo, it is a bit soppy ... but I hadn't read it before either (been here 2 yrs too) and I enjoyed it because of the element of truth in it.
It's actually BS. Does anyone think for even a moment that other road users ever take into account the actual value of the lives around them?
It certainly isn't something that is taught in this country at all, and as far as making anyone "think" it's far too maudlin' to do anything except remind one of the futility of relying on road users to treat other people with a modicum of respect.
If one of the fictitious characters listed in that trite little piece did kill "one of us" do you think they would waste a moment's regret on a dead biker, especially when you consider the average reaction to nearly killing someone.
It's like this:
"I didn't see you." ( I can't reply, for some reason my brain won't get my mouth in gear.)
"Come on get up." (I can't feel my legs).
"Someone call an ambulance." (why? what's wrong with me?)
Three days later in hospital.
"Oh my God, I thought I'd killed you. I'm so sorry, what can I do to make it up to you."
Three months later after finally getting the damage to your back fixed and getting full mobility back. Still 3 months to go before you can work though.
At the court case:
"Everyone knows motorcyclists speed everywhere, and I believe he was too. He was so unresponsive at the accident site that he must have been drunk or on drugs." This from the bastard who spent hours at my bedside crying.
You see, he had 3 months to convince himself that it was all my fault. His life went on OK. Mine has been "challenged" to say the least. Good thing I'm up for it.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
It's not an opinion.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
No. It's precisely what happened to me. Fact as opposed to opinion. I've spent a lot of time in a lot of hospital rooms watching other mates get the same speech from people who've just near killed them. One minute it's "boohoo, I nearly killed you". The next, invariably in court, it's, "He's a motorcyclist so he deserved it."
A good proportion of the time, the person who caused the accident just fucks off because they aren't man/woman enough to own up to it.

Yeah that's cool it probably does in one form of another.
But the question remains. Why is it necessary to beat up on new members!?
We all come on the site and like to take part (all be it with reposts), Have our say, and just be part of the atmosphere and what do we get from the older members, the REPOST putdown.
Lighten up you guys Live and let live.
Go through the members list some time and have a look at how many people have signed up to KB and maybe put up the odd post or two but thats as far as they went. Perhaps the got the REPOST putdown and decided "fuck you lot stick it up your ......!" and never came back.
Think about it and![]()
