Hi
I did the same thing in June.
Crushed my thumb but didn't lose the tip although the bone was crushed and the nail removed.
It happens to a fair number of chaps.
I had been cleaning the chain with it running for years
(RG50) before it happened and cause the bike was small it stalled part way through.
Although it sounds like a dumb thing to do (and it is risky)
Kiwibiker is full of stupid behavior - like
so many m/cyclists that crash their belovered bikes cause they are going to way too fast for a corner (and blame the road surface or the tyres)
Cheers
if acc get a hold of all these injuries lubing a chain will have to done by a certified or approved person.
how many of ya out there have had ya fingers trimmed?
but its good when ya post these things up, keeps reminding me of what not to do.
heal up fast and pain free as possible.
