Motoxxx takes on 4wd and looses

went out for a ride over paekakariki hill yesterday and a land rover pulls out of a drive on a blind corner. i braked and cliped the side of him which threw me off into a concrete power poll.
im ok and came out of hospital last night with a very sore knee and a seperated shoulder.
i think the bike is ok but i havent seen it yet. ill post pics up soon.

    Oh, crap!

Glad you're not too badly hurt, though...(?)
    Bloody four wheel drives. (spits)
Hope the bike is relatively unscathed, mate. And hopefully you get back on the road again soon...

    Ouch! Bad luck!

Lot's of places for that to happen up there.

I suppose it was a road registered and fully legal Land Rover? Not your usual farm hack?

Either way. get well and let us all know if you need a hand with anything.

just been to look at the bike. not too bad realy from the quick look i got at it. all indercators, mirrors gone, both pipes dented, tank dented, fairings scratched. its wheelabe and stands up ok so thats a good sign. i think shes mostly cosmetic damage so far. Im fairly gutted about the bike but i know things could have been a lot worse that what it was.

Thank god for the spike leathers that sparky bills hooked me up with. They well and truley saved my ass big time. I dont think i will ever go back to cordura. I dont have a single scratch on me, just the shoulder that has seperated its self about an inch from the rest of me and the sore knee.

Big thanks that went out the people that helped me when i was flat out on my back in a neck brace for 6 hours.

You never realise the value of an ambulance until you realy need one.
Ill be back on two wheels as soon as i can. A little older and a little wiser.

    Thanks for support guys

My Goodness, not another one. Glad you are aren't too bad, and hope the bike isn't too sick either. So what needs doing to the shoulder?

Ouch. That's gotta hurt, dude, GWS.

It's just not the KB good-luck month, is it? Maybe we should all just take the bus to work, buy Harleys and spend our weekends polishing them.
