RIP Dan.
I rode with Dan a couple of times when I first started riding, he was such a lovely guy, polite as others have said and a real sweetie (waiting for me to catch up riding through Coro) Spoke with him heaps on chat too.
Took this photo on one of the rides.

Although I did not know this rider I offer my condolences to his family and friends.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.
To Dans' Mum & Dad,
Marsha and I offer our heartfelt condolensces on the tragic loss of your son.
I did not ride with Dan but am sure I've seen him around West Auckland a few times.
Being a Dad who rides, with a son who also rides, I can say my boy has already given me his share of stressful moments as news of an "off" he's had is delivered. I can't imagine what you are dealing with now, but do know that heart--stopping moment when told "your son has been in an accident".
If there is anything we can do as fellow bikers (and Westies) please feel free to call, I've PM's our contact details.
With deepest respect,
Bruce and Marsha

I have ridden with him on a few KB rides...
Dan, you were a wonderful young fella.... so polite and friendly.
Felix - Hang in there mate...... ((((((((HUGS))))))
And cheers for putting up that lovely picture of Dan......
As another Westie, if there is anything that I can do, please contact me.
Rest in Peace Daniel.........
Goodbye friend
There are no strangers in Kiwi Biker, only friends I haven't yet met.
RIP fellow biker- condolences to the family and all that knew him well
Sad to hear of another biker down.
The bike is made to ride not polish!
Although i did'nt know Dan, he was one of the KB Family and as a parent myself it is hard to imagine just what you must be going through.
My Thoughts and Prayers go out to the Family.
Regards
Robbo
does anybody know how the accident happen ? I imagine the road is pretty straight and at that time empty
Confident the aprilia rsv4, IS the one
The road is straight at the point, I have already told the police that I wan't a structural engineer to inspect the bike that I will appoint, they have said he will not be given access till they release the bike as they claim he hit the barrier with the bike, I have been down to the crash site and I am sorry but I do not agree, yes Daniel hit the cheese wires and the barrier, but I don't think his bike did, what has been realated to me from another source ameadatly riminded me of the way the first 1969 Norton Comandos frame failed and that is why I want an independant inspection of the frame failure on the Bike concerned
