Selling your first bike.... sniff sniff

Well the mightly frog has been sold as of this afternoon, going to miss my wee black beauty, the RG150 that we affectionately called Crazy Frog, it's an RG so no brainer as to the name.

Chanak - hope you enjoy your new bike, I'll miss my wee suzuki friend. May she keep you safe, upright and true. Wahhhh didn't get to say goodbye, probably for the best, you'd of seen a grown woman crying over a chunk of metal.

I have a lot of aquainting to do with my nearly new GSX750F, have to think of a name for her. She's a bit bigger in size to fling your leg over - the frog was a great light weight bike with loads of personality. I've ridden her a couple of times and much mucho respecto for my new two wheeled beastie.

Anyway I feel quite gutted, but I'll get over it. Had to happen sooner or later!

Any of you found it hard to part with your first bike like me? I knew we couldn't affort to keep both bikes (on one income), but it's a different feeling when it's no longer yours.

Helpful suggestions for a name for my burgundy metallic beauty welcome.

I know, I know! "Much faster than McJim's Ducrapi".

That looks lovely in that colour, very classy.

I didn't have any trouble selling my first bike, it meant something bigger and better was already on the way, there's only one of my past bikes that I'd ever reconsider buying just as a side resto project, a early CB250RS, red, with the bikini fairing and no pack frame.

Yes, I was quite sad when I sold my first learner bike, the military GN250, especially since I had just ridden it in stunning weather from Island to Island through Wellington, Nelson Lakes and Malborough to deliver it, camping overnight at Lake Rotoiti in the National Park.
Yep, it was hard to let go.
But the fact that I sold it for TWICE what I bought it for lessened the sadness.
