    I would like to add this happins in all mechanical industries, personally I would say Yamaha are one of the better brands, with regards to warranty failures. Especially at this level. We also dont trully know what the guy did. Ill give him the benefit of the doupt, but who knows. I mainly was interested in the pics.

    Dude that's crap !! But doesn't only happen to brand new bike's , Mine did that at 19,000k . 3,000k after I brought it from Hamilton M/C & the fucken wanker's walked from the $1600 bill to fix it .So as they say it's just

    I only read a little of it but the guy that reckons it was either a bad bearing or not torqued up properly has the right of it.

    It didn't really get hot as there is no major heat stress showing on the parts so it must have had plenty of oil.

    I think I'll stick with the Guzzi...

    On the last page of the source forum there is a reply by the guy, there was a nozzle left in the oil channels from when yamaha tested the pressure in the lubricant system (ya know, checking for leaks and all that), and that prevented oil delivery.

    So the whole thing was just a screwup by a techie doing a test he was supposed to do.

    Yamaha sent a new engine out.
