" QUICKER THAN YOU SLOWER THAN ME "
That is definitely a freak accident. I get hit by small stones and large bugs, and then only at 120 ish and it stings like mad. So, I can only imagine what a nail would feel like.
When I first got to NZ, I was driving in my car (the same one I have now), with the roof down along the highway between plimmerton and pukerua bay (I think). A bike went past pretty quick, flicking up a stone which must of had a whole heap of topspin on it, because it missed my windscreen but dipped and hit my sunglasses right on the bridge of my nose. The glasses exploded (hehe, strong word for effect) off my face, in two pieces. It was unsettling to say the least!
Hmm, wasn't anyone of you guys now was it?Not that you'd notice, as I can attest from VTWIN's headlight protector incident.
Dave
PS: That guy got nailed! (SORRY, I had to say it)
The best foreign object Ive seen was my bike spat a Pine cone out the rear wheel. Which then imbedded itself in my mates arm who was following behind me. It was nasty. We stop all look, (have a giggle, well he didnt but the rest of use did) and yank it out. Bandage the arm up and away we go.![]()

bejebus that musta hurt
and my lil bro was at my flat with his GF for a visit when I first read this post
He's a piercing addict and saw the photo and the Xray and the first words out of his mouth were "where can I get that done?"
