Thumbs down Dumbest riding I have seen in a long time

Waiting at lights driving the work cage in the Auckland CBD after work tonight. I am in High St at the Victoria St. East, Lorne St. intersection, having just exited the car park building.

Two lanes of traffic are bumper to bumper downhill from Albert Park in Vic St. The lights were green for this traffic, but the Queen St. lights were at red, so everyone was sitting going nowhere, when a bike comes down on the wrong side of the road. As he is about a car length from Lorne St. the traffic starts to move downhill.

What does our hero do? He shoots past the car just entering the Lorne/Vic intersection AND THEN TURNS LEFT INTO LORNE STREET, across the two lanes of now moving cages. Luckily the driver in the right hand lane had quick reactions and hit the anchors, missing the bikes rear wheel by around 15cm. The guy in the left lane was a little further back, so had a bit more time to stop.

If your rego is BUGSY and you are reading this, you are a f**kwit of the first order. Bikers have enough image problems with the average cager without that sort of dumb shit.
Keep the shiny side upright, Rhino.

Chase him! Chase him and beat him! Two bikers fighting it out in the middle of the road with cage drivers cheering them on from all around! Hilarous!

Are you reading your W.W.SM.D. bracelet? For those of you wondering what the W.W.SM.D. stands for: What Would SkidMark Do... he'd chase after the offending culprit to let him know that he "did wrong"... OMG this is too easy

This is the sort of riding that bites us in the arse when we try to protest against things in the public eye, And then guys that ride like that are the first to piss and maon that we never get anywhere

Maybe a beating is the way to go

The dumbest riding I have ever seen would have to have been Sunday night in Lower Hutt. A guy on a bike (dont ask me what type, as I have not a clue but I think it was black) getting chased by the cops, and wearing NO helmet... kinda freaked me out when he did a u-turn on the motorway and came speeding past my car in the middle of the lanes.

That sure sounds pretty bloody stupid.

Zeroindex - You made me laugh ... a helluva lot. Poor Mark.

I have already been asked that in a pm. I know buggys' bike and it wasn't him. This was a large cruiser, maybe a Vulcan, although I can't be 100% certain.

Before any cruiser rider thinks I am having a go at cruisers, I ride a Goldwing FFS, so am closer to cruisers than sprotbikes in riding style and temperament.

While we're in the mood for stories of total lunacy and complete lack of regard, at around midday on the Saturday of the Cold Kiwi I was approaching the rally entrance from Waiouru with the sky fully clouded over and noticed, (with the help of their lit headlights) about 400 metres ahead, a group of half a dozen or so motorcyclists come over the brow of the hill from the direction of Ohakune. I rightly assumed that they were coming to the rally which would have given me right of way into the entrance. A split second before turning something didn't look right and I stopped to check again. At that instant, a single motorcycle a short distance ahead of the group, shot straight past me on the back wheel, with the rider up on the pegs, at a speed well in excess of 100kph.

If that fuckwit truely knew just how close he came to oblivion (and probably taking me with him)...........

I'm sure if the rider in question (or the following group of riders) frequents this forum it won't be difficult to work out who it was.
