I think it's time for another bike...suggestions please

I have been think that I might need to get myself another bike to keep my 660SMC company,

I love Supermoto (as you can gather from my Username) and have been thinking about a new KTM 950 SM but haven't yet made up my mind, could also be convinced to go with a naked, (love the GSX1400)

will be used as a weekend toy on longer trips,

I don't want to go back to a sports bike (GSXR, R1 etc)

So what i'm asking the KB gods is for comments on the new KTM 950 sm and any advice on others is the market that might suit.

The catering and accounts department has given the green light so Please help

    cheers

You should pop into your local Suzuki dealer and take the new Bandit 1250 and SV1000 demos for a thrash. Both good naked tourers.

    Cheers TLMAN,

I've had a earlir SV1000 when they first released them,(traded in my TL1000s) and was never completely happy with it as i thought it was going to be the same or similar to the TL, are the k7 SV's the same as the older?

The Bandit is a cool looking bike.

I loved the brutishnass and power of my 97 TLS, it was unpredictabe and gave me lots of those "moments" (good and bad), whereas the K7 SV is more refined and precise with excellent handling, also I think the K7 SV has about 5ponies less then the TL at 120, but you dont really notice it.
I dont know much about comparisons between the older SVs and the new ones sorry as ive only ridden the 07 SV which im really impressed with so far. I know what you mean about the TLS, once youve owned one youll always want one again!!

I still find myself looking at old TLs on trade while looking at newer bikes, if one popped up at the right price i could be swayed, Since you have had a TL and are impressed with the K7 SV i think i mighthave to give Holeshots some warning that i'll be down to check on out
