Sweet as Kendog, we not leaving tauranga, until about 3-4, depends on what time motogirl finshed, so most likey won't be manfield until 8ish but fire us a txt when ya get there, and we let you know how we are.

We be pretty easy to spot bright red van with 'Rider' custom seats on side of it, with the yellow devil inside.

We're leaving Tauranga at 2.30 and I think it's only 5-5 1/2 hours to Fielding?

So will be at that bit you can pull into (I think it's a police weigh station but not sure) just past the roundabout at plimmerton at 7.15 and will be leaving no later than 7.30.

So anyone wanting to join me I shall see you there.

    Thanks

I don't want to be still frantically getting stuff compliant when it comes to briefing time (can you tell I've never done this before?)

As the briefing is at 9.15, and you should have registered and been scrutinized before that time, I am not sure you are leaving early enough.

Ouch! The accompanying documentation was a bit vague on that point. Having just re-read these, I thought that "scrutineering" applied to non-road registered bikes and that pointing at the WOF would be sufficient?

I'm assuming I at least also have to point to my taped up headlight, missing mirrors and leather gloves etc ...

I'm also wondering if it's ok to remove my indicators - will find out when I get there, I guess, but would like to leave sufficient time to remove them if I can.

It all worked out in the end, was a little more relaxed with the scrutineering than other track days I have been to.
Was a great day. I have photos to share and will do a write up when I am a little more awake.

It was a very pleasant ride back too...
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them
