Was this on the southern motorway in Auckland heading north, if so I've come across these fellas before.

I had wanted to give them a little show and wheelie past them, unfortunately the mighty GN isn't up to the task!

I get kids waving at me continuously when I'm out and about on my bike. I always waveback because I love the look of horror the parents give me

Well I don't know about hating bikes

I've had a few people in traffic queues make room so I can get through the gap.
Tuesday morning was a good example. Some guy in a huge Nissan ute moved forwards so I could squeeze between him and bus next to him.

    Quite agree!
Give them a wave and help annoy the mothers that are driving them around. At least the kids still have an open mind about things, unlike the closed-minds of those who really should know better.

Hmm. Heading off to wind up some tardme nutters!
Can you get infringements over there???

That's like having a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

Seriously - that has got to be the most idiotic forum in NZ.

I didn't even realise it existed until this week, what do they do - talk about the last thing they traded?...

Have always found that a wave to any cage that moves out of the way to let me past helps heaps.

That reminds me of a good deed I did one day on the bike. I was lane splitting and came up behind a car where the rear door was open. I pulled up beside the car and tapped on the driver's window to tell her about it and she was horrified because this big, bad, biker wanted to have a word. I opened my visor so she could see me, and then told her about her door. She was thrilled and I reckon my effort did the reputation of us bikers some good.
