    Well done to everyone concerned.

I was going to attend, but I think I sustained a back injury from trailriding yesterday. Didn't bother me til this morning so the Guzzi had to stay indoors.

    About 200ish bikes apparently...
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Good turnout - what kind of press/media coverage was there?

Not a lot ... they had some press on the ride down. At Plimmerton there was someone who reped and takes pics for the local rags out this way .. so we should get somewhere.

    Wizard show what!

Damn fine presentation of our case from both Cola and the brilliantly warm and committed presentation by Yungatart!

Marian Hobbs explanation of the Petition process was great as she detailed how that buys us a seat at a Select Committee hearing where our case can be presented in depth.

Cool - so who has he time and expertise to take it there? We needs some serious studies backing what we want.

The serious studies are readily available from a variety of sources, from the European Parliament to the individual Governments of the countries that have banned them or are reviewing them.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

From what I saw and heard to day, it's not going to be difficult. Many of us have done the research and the European, Australian and US reports and studies give us a position that Transit would be hard-pushed to defend against.

I feel the short answer is that the case is already made, we just need to present it. The way it was presented today would do very nicely I think.

Monash has a good "study" too (that's where Death Incs pic came from) and LTNZ loves Monash studies...

Basically it says that nobody has really considered bikes and they should because the news is all bad.

I have downloaded several that make good reading.

    Respect

I'm just aware we're "up against" politicians expert in the art of avoiding the issue and minimising expediture/damage.

That being said - elections are nearly upon us. Timing is good.

Add my tautoko to the list tooo. Job well done Col, Janet and the riders. Madmal could always get work as an usher as well if entrepreneuring gets to be too much. Top job on the parking at the sandbar bro.

Hear, hear - I second that. Both of you came across really well - shame there was no tv camera around.

It was awesome to be a part of such a large convoy of bikes especially all riding together for such a great cause.

Thanks to all the people who put the time in to organise everything and it was an honor to take part and show support.

Thank you all very much again.

    Craig
