Cheers, but I may make enquiries from a supplier closer to home. The next trick will be to see if there's room in my Shoei for one of these and my head.

I can't feel anything inside the helmet, it's very slim. The mike fits snugly in front of the mouth and the whole set-up is unobtrusive. Now we just gotta try it out on the road...

"In front of the mouth" is the bit I have problems with with a very large head in a Shoei.

Try sending a PM to Johnny Flash...he and his wife have one of those systems, and he has done a lot of research on the subject.
Also Lula I believe has looked into the option for her and her partner, and they ride individually.

    Hope it helps

Like most of these things the closer to the mouth the better the sound.. also if you have a open vent as my helmet has then you might need to lower it a tad. the mic boom that is only about 2-3mm round and mic has a windsock/glove on it but fits in all three types of helmet I have.. If you are concerned take your helmet down to the DSE with you and have a play in store PS, re another question you had, if you have a Two way radio that is BLUETOOTH compatable then you can use this unit with that also, basically it will talk to ANY bluetooth capable device.. but you CANT plug any hardwire type device into it... like a Ipod.. I have mine working (paired/connected) with my mobile phone/Pocket PC, as well as to the Pillion helmet as an intercom, the Pillion helmet could also be paired with her mobile or any other bluetooth capable device..

That microphone boom looks pretty bulky. I used to have problems with the Pinfolds mikes that are only a fraction of that size. It rubbed on my head getting the helmet on and off, which soon wore out the foam cover thingee. And I also found it quite irritating having something constantly ribbing my lip. This Blueant could be worse. I guess there's only one way to find out!

And I have yet to discover anybody who makes a Bluetooth compatible walkie talkie. Again, any advice would be gratefully received!

Do any of our resident electronics gurus have any ideas how a Bluetooth headset could be made to link with a walkie talkie?

And final question, what does a pair of these things cost?
You might be pushing it in reguards to blue tooth walky talky in the not insanre price bracket.

I have heard of VHF radios with blue tooth and GPS. Your looking upwards of a kay though.

Sorry to be a downer, although check online. Garmen and motorolla would be my first ports of call. New tech is coming out every day.
