Nothing wrong with a 250 anyway. Look at the offroad guys -- they don't all rush out and drool over 450s, because a 125 is often shitloads of fun and suits their purposes better.
A 250 can be more fun than a big bike provided the roads are suited to it. Why not bling it up?
I'll be getting a big bike too, but I don't quite understand the obsession with `upgrading'.
Awwwwwwwww isn't that sweet
I'm pretty attached to my ZXR but she's gonna have to go. It will be sad as she's my first bike and has been brilliant.
Still the allure of the bigger bikes is undeniable and I can't afford to keep two bikes. I'm sure once my ZX-6R/GSX-R600/SV1000S or whatever I end up with arrives I'll forget all about my 250.![]()
Oh I know what you mean, but not everybody's like that (and too many people are).
Handling is one thing you'll be disappointed in. 250s are the fastest thing around any corner, and the fastest to change direction. Put some sticky tyres on your ZXR, have the suspension and brakes looked at, and I doubt you'll find much short of an R6 that will be able to hassle you in the twisty stuff.
Prior to wiring my Christmas lights up to my bike, I would like to test this CBR to see if the blue neons do, in fact, make it go much faster.
But "Not time waster please, and test pilot thanks."
I'm a test pilot - where does this leave me?
Motorcycle songlist:
Best blast soundtrack:Born to be wild (Steppenwolf)
Best sunny ride: Runnin' down a dream (Tom Petty)
Don't want to hear ...: Slip, slidin' away, Caught by the Fuzz or Bam Thwok!(Paul Simon/Supergrass/The Pixies)
You may well be right. It's the bits between twisties that you notice the power difference.
I'm really interested to see how different the supersports feel as the newer ones aren't much heavier than a ZXR/CBR 250. It seems the biggest difference is the reciprocating mass in the engine and people notice a difference between the handling of the GSX-R600 and GSX-R750 even though it's the same basic bike.
I like it, especially with the painted kit. I mean in all likely hood its been crashed, and damaged the fairings. Replacement genuine parts will cost more than the kit, and if your going fibreglass, why not bring the looks forward 15 years. doesnt cost that much more.
(also im sure its white because its just the gelcoat finish)
Also with the 250cc licence market, if you make it look like a 600 but its only a 250, someone will want it.
p.s i quite like the idea of being on a 250 on straights, having riden 600's. If i owned one (a 600) i'd either be dead in a ditch or wouldn'tve a licence. You can wind these 250's up and not be doing a speed you wish you werent doing when fate come calling!
I think it looks nice, needs to be painted though.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot
"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."
Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.
