I think it is aluminium but not too sure. I'll bring it to the pub tomorrow.

Once everything is done and seeing as how older ones than mine are going for about $7-8K, I'll be happy with $4-5k.
Like I said earlier, the frame and motor re sweet as most of the damage is just cosmetic. Only blown forkseals otherwise and those will be fixed shortly as well.

Not sure I can afford to take less. Got two other bikes to fix (one of wich could be VERY expensive) and hopefully still have enough money after selling those to buy a car and a bike with a warranty.

EDIT: Who's turned off my cursing dammit.

Ok time for an update and those pics I promised.

This set of pics show what the Gauges looked like. The bracket holding the speedo broken, paint on the pod covers ed and chipped.

Thanks to Bucket boy, a man with many nice toys in his garages (yes, plural) the bracket has been welded and now stronger than ever No more giggly speedo.

Damn what a hassle putting all those wires back into the tiny tiny pace allowed for them.
Bit disappointed that I wasn't able to get the nice fake chrome shine that the gauge pods had on them before but they don't look too bad in the silver. Gonna put a few clear coats on them later to help them shine up a bit more.

headlight instruments area looks much better with much of the mess cleaned up.

    Pics here.

Also got the fenders sanded down and first coat of primer on.

Tank nearly done just one last layer of Bondo to smooth out a few ripples on the last dent that got left due to an unsteady hand.

Primer will be done on the tank after I hand sand down the first layer on the fenders and take care of any imperfections I see and add another layer of primer.

    Pics here.

    damn weather.
Came home early from work to try and get the bits painted and back on the bike but due to the cold and damp air today, the primer hadn't dried properly.
So It'll have to wait till tomorrow night to paint.

Just realized I haven't posted a pic up of the seat yet. macmotortrimmer did the work for me at a good price too.
Considering that the seat has had holes in it for quite some time and been covered with duct-tape for the better part of two years, he certainly and his work cut out for him.

    Pic of finished seat.

Can tell the difference already mate. Hell just in the seat, I can actually feel padding when I sit on it. AND no more wet ass for four days after it rains.

Was raining when I got home today so still not painted. Looks to be sunny tomorrow though so here's hoping it will be done in time to make it to the pub thursday.

Been great weather here in Hamilscum the last few days, any advance on painting your bike or didn't any good weather head out your way?

Bits are painted and waiting for me to put back on the bike. Just gonna finish up the polishing and then do so. Paint could really use polishing up but I can't wax it for a few weeks apparently...

Also oil and spark plug change planned for today.

Nothing left after that except having a shop do the forkseals then re-vin/reg/wof.
