Friday Night Dragwars...
Well, what a cool night......plenty of cars, quite a few bikes. The start of the night went well i got there early and got 5 qualifying runs in before the officials clicked on and told me to park up and wait for the racing.......wait for the racing?....well it FINALLY got under way at around 11pm'ish it sprinkled a couple times and we had to wait for the track to dry out twice by this time most of the bikes had left and only 4 of us night owls were left. During my 5 qualifying runs i clocked ET times of 12.3s, 11.7s, 11.2, 11.0, and the last run was a respectable 10.9s @219kms, needless to say i was rather happy. However because there was only 4 bikes left we had to run against the cars first up.......wouldn't damn believe it but my first race was against a shitty old toyota crown(the OLD OLD ones) with a dial in of 21.0s, my dial in was yep 10.8s, Geeeeeze the damn car was almost 3/4 track before i even got the green light........well i only have to say that was the only race i got.....i packed it in and sulked myself home.....lol.....better luck next time huh?....
I rode to a friends house in the rain, he asked me if times were that tough, I said you wouldnt understand and if you did understand you would not have asked me that.....a ride is a ride....
