Does the go'worm'ent not have the power to change laws.

NZ is a GREAT country. But it's attitude towards criminals is ridiculous.

These people are criminals - meaning they have commited a crime - meaning that they have done something bad - meaning that somebody or someone suffered as a result of their actions - meaning that they did something that was WRONG -

The case of the (bucking fastard) chinese driver killing that student literally boils my blood. Here was a guy forbidden to drive who was driving in one of the busiest parts of the country and he was not following the road rules. His behaviour killed a guy. KILLED HIM. Meaning that for the student - thats it and for his family a large part of their life too died with their boy.

I don't understand what forbidden means??????? And 250 hours community service..............

    What the f ????

Seriously, did he pay the judge too???

Now I know we are spoiled for choice on this thread. But my current favourite is the Police area 'manager' on the West Coast. When one of his cops was found to have unlawfully assaulted and arrested a man, he said that he would not seek to have the cops bravery commendation rescinded. This 'brave' man and three of his colleagues beat the, unarmed, guy with batons and rammed his head into a lamp post. Apparently because he objected to the cop hiding in the bushes. This was the heroic act that he won his award for.
This happened a week after we honoured the return of the unknown soldiers remains to NZ, a truly brave man who gave his life for us.

There must be some tenuous link here with this thread but I fail to see it -or do all windmills look the same when you're tilting at them?
