Hokay people. What's the deal? I've noticed that more than any other city dwellers on this forum, you W'tonians seem to exude the Ab-Pos Wgtn thing. What gives?

Maybe i'm missing something, and maybe i believed the hype, but my first visit there was like, wha? So it's got a waterfront / harbour. Not unique. It's got some very nice Cafe's / Restaurants - again, not unique. It's got weekday politicians .... yay! Keep 'em there...

Like i say, maybe i'm missing something, but i go there, partied a little, then left, no biggy. Whereas when i arrived in ChCh i thought "choice bro!" and wanted to stay.

I think that you have to _be_ absolutely positive about living here, or else people wouldn't think that Wellington was worth visiting.

I found Chch really weird - it was just like Sim City. You drive into a suburb (which is all completely flat) and there's the token 'park', the 'highschool' and the shopping area. Then you drive about 5 ks down the road and there's another 'park', 'highschool' and shopping area. All exactly the same, and it keeps going. All on the flat and all very 'perfectly' laid out. I like Chch but it's just strange. I wonder if the same people walk the same dogs in each park too?
