Where chicks are concerned, even an MV does not trump a Harley. It's the chrome. And the vibration. The chrome gets them on, and the vibration gets them off.

Oh the temptation... will be finishing the work thing at midnight, if I can snaffle a nap on station and get some decent kip at home, I could well be tempted to tail this wee ride...

...and save the kiddies of course...

You want I should dust off the Moggy Club in case any more persuasion is required?

Donor: So ya glad you're a Biker?

And then , send your receipt into BRONZ and y' go in the draw to win a FREE HELMET.

That's free. As in a PRIZE.

If you go to the Greenlane, or Pt Chev, or Grey Lynn or Manukau Maccas to do the Ronald McDonald donation thing and help wipe the tears from those little cheeks, and still those quivering lips (are you ready for the kittens yet?), you can get a Ronnie Run badge. These are the same badges that were used on the original Ronnie Run as organised by Telemarchios (world famous in an obscure suburb). So if you've been collecting the Ronnie Run badges since 1735, and your life has been made bleak cheerless and purposeless becos you thought you couldn't get another one, do not despair. Help is as close as Maccas .
I called into Pt Chev and they knew nought about this, they also rung Grey Lynn for me and again they knew nothing.

Just seen the list on TV and apparently its WESTGATE mcDonald's.

Unlikely the Maccas staff would know about it. We tried to see if the word could be got out to them, but apparently it is too hard, because of multiple shifts and such like.

I was on station at green Lane from 6:30. peggy was lined up to be at Grey Lynn (though I haven't confirmed she made it yet). The Starnger was going to do Pt Chev. Originally we hoped to have someone at Westgate 9and teh SHore) but we ran out of volunteers.

Given that I didn't see a soul at Green lane I doubt there was much missed.

How did the TV show go ?

I went to Pt Chev after leaving the filming..... trying to explain it to staff was kinda hard (english is their second language), so they got the Manager...... and even he knew nought..... so he kindly went off to ring Grey Lynn.

So obviously no one showed up to drop off the badges etc.

Filming went good, Big Dave and Klingon spoke.
We rode from the forecourt area and lined up by the set of lights and then rode back into the forecourt area. We did do a practise run beforehand.

I taped it and watched it back, and it looked ok.

Sorry I cant load it up for all to see.

PS: I am wanting to get a badge thou !

It went well - Big Dave said "stick with me and I'll make you a star" and he did

Oh, and nobody bumped into each other or fell off or did a wheelie or left their light on and got a flat battery.
But someone did try to steal crashe's bike while she was still on it! I'll let her tell that story.

No, the maccas staff were not involved. Apparently it's too hard to bring them into the loop, cos of shifts and bad english, and some sites are franchises and and and .

But The Stranger was on station at Pt Chev from 6:15 till 8:15. You should have seen him ?

Did you get a McDs receipt ? If so send it in (I'll post an address as soon as I find it out) and go in the helmet draw.

I'll organise a badge for you (and anyone else interested) Just post up y' name

Auckland City Council sponsors a free breakfast in February for Bike to Work Day (i.e. the organic zero-emissions kind of bike). http://www.aucklandcity.govt.nz/what...rk/default.asp

Maybe next year they could also sponsor breakfast and/or freebies for the emission-reducing, congestion-busting, parking-freeing motorised kind of bike?

And maybe Mayor Banks could join us for the ride?
