Yea I noticed that, the 250 is 108kg, the 685 is 101kg, huh?

Only 80 hp? Seems a bit disappointing, my '01 250 puts out 60. My 250 also drains it's 7lt tank in around 50 k's, so maybe the Maico's are tuned to be less thirsty (I see they've only got 9.5lt tanks).

I bet they put out a shit load of torque though . . .

Yea, it may be like the CR500 and the CR250, there was only a few HP difference between them (I think) but a shit load more torque in the CR500.

Still, 80HP in a dirt bike, should be heaps. Wonder if it could be tuned for more HP, would be an awesome hill climber for 'The race to the sky' then.

There was a guy out at Ardmore a couple of weeks ago on a Motard with street tyres on and he was going very well. It was dryish though! I was running in his smooth tyre track marks.
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

Yes I can agree , my 250's fuel economy is out the window. 6 and a half liters in under and hour!
