Here is an article from WWW.Motorcycle-USA.com about the newly designed 600 from Suzuki....is it likely to reclaim the 600cc SS crown for 2004 - Suzuki have certainly given it all the fruit to make it a likely contender.

looks crusty next to the alstare 2003 tho I reckon
that new headlight really doesn't do it for me. suits the bigger 1000s ok but looks overgrown on the 600
Hey CK, your Alstare would look good up on one wheel like the shot of that 2004 in the article! Looking forward to seeing a "controlled" wheelie from you soon dude.Originally Posted by Coldkiwi

i'm getting there. I'm taking the throttle only route to learning now so I can save my clutch for when I'm more used to the lofted wheel sensation. only downside is the resulting speed by the time the wheel leaves the deck (limits the number of places it can be done without a high risk of unwanted attention)
Sorry to dredge this thread up guys, but ...
Anyone know how much the 2004 GSXR6 will be going for?
Talking to the dealer at battle of streets at weekend he thinks they gonna go for about $17000-$18000 same price as all other 600s pretty much.Originally Posted by Batcerb

I'm thinking K4 750. Same chasis as the 600, not so severe as the Thou'. MCN UK have just covered the launch and the think it could be a 1000 killer in the right hands.
I'll have a black one please, Mr Suzuki!
Yeah the 750 be good, but i can't really justify spending that much or more like the misses not allowing me to spend so much, after my gsxr1100 i want go down to a nice small size bike, i don't need much in hp to keep up with her vtr1000f.Originally Posted by White trash
I don't like the look of the yellow/black 750, i need yellow and black to match my 2 piece leather suit and helmet
but each to the own its all good.
I will test them both when they are out, or which ever comes first, and decide on which is the best buy for my $$
17-18k? man... did i (and the other fine alstare rep. owners) get a good deal on the 03 GSXR or WHAT?
Oh yeah! It also means we wont loose much in depreciation. You have to look at it what it can be replaced with and to my knowledge, no dealers have any left.Originally Posted by Coldkiwi
Yes. You got a good deal. That $13K gixer was the most motorcycle for the least dollars I've seen in the showrooms in a very long time.Originally Posted by Coldkiwi
Could be argued that the SV650 for $9995 was another absolute winner, but nobody here seems to like the nekkid version. Pity.
Bindit 12 at $13500 with a factory lower fairing and Akrapovic 'zorst thrown in was a steal, too.
I know i wanted one of the corona extra 600 )c:< i just missed out when i rang dealer he sold last one that morning.
So i sit here waiting for something new models to come along, the gsxr could be cheaper he does not know yet, suzuki nz has not told him but if you think about it they are US$8100 means they shouldn't be that expensive but htey always wanna try and rip you off for first new models, but at least we are getting the aussie spec models not candian or us models.
The local dealer who friend of mine and also going to try and get the first gsxr600 he can get his hands on for me to test ride. I don't like vtwins so sv650 out of question and the misses got a vtr any how. Already got a 600 bandit in the garage i can ride. But i don;t like the feeling/handling of the new 12bandits, but thats me i'm a fussy bugger
I have to keep riding the old girl until i get something lighter meaner and styler
