A sharp price for a new one! Chuck the 020s immediately and replace with Roadtec Z6s. Fucking. Yum. O.

Definitely ride an S4R monster before making your decision. They must have come down in price by now. But that Eddie Lawson thing is pretty horney too.

I slept in this morning and flagged zrxer's Coro loop, but I just got back from a lovely little northwest loop on the K2.

    Gah.

I'm not sure anymore, now. Do I really want to give up the GSXR's power and precise handling?

I'll proceed with the test ride plans and post my impressions of each bike, but any final decision on abandoning sprotbikes for 2008 won't be made until closer to Christmas, when the fettling process on my SRAD has been completed and it's done a couple of trackdays.

Shame you missed the coro ride today, most likely would have made you keep your gsxr anyhows with all those beautiful twisties
Whens your first test ride, and on what?

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?

Great bikes and the mini-fairing does a surprisingly good job. In the same vein eliot-ness's Bandit is a great deal for somebody!

Take one of these types of bikes for a ride and you'll be surprised at what you can keep up with through the twisties, plus you can ride them for 100s of km in comfort. I rode Auckland-Wellington-Dunedin in two days last year with a dodgy knee and back without any problems.

Took an '03 Speed Triple out on the usual test track today.

Will write up my impressions this evening.

Forget the Street Triple, my next test ride is in an hour's time and it will be...

    A black '96 FXDWG.

    Muahahahahahahaha!

    Why am I so excited?

Maybe because test riding bikes in ya lunch time is exciting! I'm so green with envy, 'cept it's not brand new.

Blonde question time...WTF is a FXDWG?
Edit: Oooooh I see! I'd be excited too.:spudwow::spudbooge:spudwave:

Get a convertible. You don't have to wear a helmet, can carry all sorts of shit and if it rains just put the lid up. Chicks dig convertibles and they come at prices to suit all budgets.

When you want to have a blat on a bike just organise a test ride.

I can see myself getting banned soon.

It's a Dyna Wide-Glide. Not that that reveals anything more than the acronym. Unless you're "into" Harleys or have a chrome-cleaning fetish, or enjoy having your privates tingle over comparatively long distances.

And, on another related and significant matter, "Daniel, you cannot be serious".

    Harrumph.

I will have you know, sir, that I have been drooling over said model for over a decade, and will brook no naysaying of my irrational attraction now that I'm old enough and ugly enough to convince dealers to hand over keys.

My ride review will be posted shortly.

    Summary: FXDWG FTW.
