Lets think this through a bit more, what would happen if the "policy" was for cops back off sooner for runners?
Would not that just encourage MORE runners and hence more carnage CAUSED by runners?
Would that result in more theft?
Would that result in more burnt out stolen cars aka increased insurance?
I think the answer to these is yes, so what you are advocating is worse.
Finally someone with some sense
A policy of not chasing would be a very very bad thing.

lol SM, you know as much about choppers as you do bikes. It's based in Mechanics bay & it would take only a few minutes to get there once under way, you just can't seem to keep your feet out of your mouth kiddo

I wanna know what the cameraman was doing there, at that time? And the zoom on the camera was pretty awesome too aye?
Yeah would love to know what the camera was doing set up there. If it was due to knowing the general direction the bike was headed then that's one thing but WTF is the biker on??? Why would you continue on the main road for so long??? Struth, id be turning off the main road as soon as I could, not that I condone running
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded
